Description

Proper seating, positioning and product selection for an end-user are key, but without appropriate funding it can all become a mute point. As funding sources tighten the rules by changing the coverage guidelines and requiring more documentation, the job of the therapist and the provider takes more time and more attention to detail. Unfortunately, many of these rules are misinterpreted or simply misunderstood. This causes time and effort to be wasted. As a referral or provider, truly understanding the rules will make a difference for all involved.

In this session you will learn about complex rehab coverage criteria and documentation requirements for adults and geriatrics. With this information you will be able to assess if the documentation you provide or receive is sufficient for proper funding. The goal is always to put an end-user in the best product to meet their needs; however making sure it is funded is just as important.

Learning Objectives

Upon viewing this webinar, participants will be able to:

Understand the coverage criteria and documentation requirements for complex rehab products.
Evaluate if their current seating/evaluation documents provide the proper information for appropriate funding.
Understand what documents are required to be completed and/or signed by the therapist/physician
