Description

With tighter and more stringent Medicare policies it is becoming more and more crucial for the clinician to have a solid understanding of the reimbursement program.  Knowing how the system works and the processes involved helps the clinician work within the system and work more successfully with the supplier to provide the most appropriate products for each patient.  This course will present an overview of the Medicare reimbursement system including basics of claims submissions, how claims are paid, who develops the policies and makes policy changes, how claims might be reviewed and audited, as well as how and when to appropriately utilize an Advanced Determination of Medical Coverage (ADMC) and an Advanced Beneficiary Notice (ABN).  Come to this session to gain valuable information to assist you in understanding the total picture regarding Medicare from both a clinical, reimbursement and supplier standpoint.
