Description
There are both international (ISO) and national standards (ANSI/RESNA) associated with quantifying posture assessment. Research has been conducted around the world relative to the application of these standards and tool development to facilitate the process. This presentation will incorporate reporting of research results related to validity and reliability of a select group of these tools, including a promising photographic assessment method. Additionally, suggestions will be made for clinical application of this standard in a clinical setting.
Learning Objectives
Upon attending this seminar, participants will be able to:
- Describe 2 tools for quantifying posture according to the international standard.
- Measure at least 3 posture angles according to the definitions in the standard.
- Discuss the known reliability and validity of the tools presented.
