Dynamic seating can enhance movement of the body in the wheelchair. It can be used to limit excursion of movement or can provide a means for controlled functional tasking. This presentation will provide an overview of commercialized dynamic products available as well as how and why they are used in seating intervention.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify three assessment criteria to determine parameters for seating intervention relative to movement
- Name two materials that can be incorporated into a seating system to allow desired movement
- Identify three ways to modulate or refine seating systems to meet an individual's movement needs

She has worked in several different types of clinical service delivery settings as both a therapist and a supplier and as an educator for manufacturers. Presently she is doing research at RIC, provides home health serving as the equipment and home modification expert, and owns a private practice.
