Description

Assistive Technology (AT) is sometimes perceived as complicated and perhaps overwhelming given most rehabilitation clinicians receive little pre-professional training in this area.  This session will break down and discuss the variables associated with best-practice in the provision of AT.  Various models will be utilized to describe the process and demonstrate how the fundamental knowledge and skills common to many rehabilitation clinicians can be applied to the AT process.  Specific topics covered include assessment, service delivery models, device evaluation, policy, documentation, and outcome measures.
